John Chandler – JAB Group.
In this month’s candidate case study we focus on John Chandler who has recently joined us here at JAB as an example of the opportunities that JAB can offer.
John was working with Hewden Hire Centres as an Area Sales Manager, selling into all sectors of that industry. Whilst enjoying his time with Hewden, John felt the need for a different challenge.
After being alerted to the potential opportunity with JAB, John came into the offices and met with Allan Dixon who explained what opportunities recruitment consultancy could offer.
Allan was interested in John for a number of reasons. He was a salesman at heart and that is fundamentally what recruitment is all about. He has a very good knowledge of the construction industry and most of all he was hungry, driven and highly competitive.
John was equally interested in JAB, we were able to offer him a structured training path to use his existing skills and knowledge to develop his own style of recruitment. He loved construction and this role gave him access to all areas and levels of the industry.
Allan commented, “It’s great to get John on board, he brings with him a good understanding of the industry and with his sales skills and attitude, he will quickly pick up the rest. I am really positive that he will make a difference”.
John said, “It’s just what I wanted, I can now get involved in all of the industry and be part of a really driven sales environment. I have started to build up a base of new clients and have started to recruit in all areas”.
